Service Description

Create two unique wall pocket planters perfect for small sized succulents, air plants, or other wall decor. Learn basic techniques in working with slabs, how to ensure final products stay flat, various inlay patterns and stamping designs, and more. Our instructors will guide you through creating two unique slabs to be used as the backplates for your pieces. Learn how to adhere two halves of a pre-thrown vessel to your slabs and create matching pieces for your home or mix it up to give away as holiday gifts! The pots will be pre thrown before the class. Participants will choose vessels for their pocket planters upon arrival. Pot designs will vary between bubble pots, rounded pots, and straight-walled vessels. This workshop is best suited for all levels of experience including beginners. Adults required to assist children ages 12 and under. Cost includes all materials, firing, and Level 1 glazing. Please bring a towel to wipe hands and any accessories/apparel. Food is not permitted in River Ceramics Studio. Drinks with closed lids are allowed. Projects will be ready for glazing 2-3 weeks post workshop. An email with a link to book your glazing time will be sent as soon as projects are out of the kiln.

We are a small business aiming to provide the best service possible to our guests, patrons, and studio members. To receive a full refund or the option for free rescheduling, the studio must be notified at least 5 days prior to the event date. Any time period less than 5 days but more than 2 days prior to the event will result in a rescheduling/cancellation fee equal to 50% of the cost of your workshop or event. Any refund offered may be subject to a 4% processing fee. We do not allow rescheduling within 48 hours of the class and no refunds will be offered for cancellations.
