BYO Chip and Dip Slab Plate

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo early at River! This event is BYO and for ages 21+.

Create your own chip and dip plate to use for entertaining or to give as a thoughtful and unique gift. Learn the technique of working with slabs and how to cut and curve your clay to make a two part plate out of a single slab. Each participant will receive a prepped slab of clay with stencils available for guidance. Participants will have the opportunity to explore texture surface alteration to customize their design.

This workshop is recommended for those with some clay experience and is designed for ages 21+. Please bring a towel to wipe hands and any accessories/apparel. Food is not permitted in River Ceramics Studio. Drinks with open lids are permitted at this event. Projects will be ready for glazing 2-3 weeks post workshop. An email with a link to book your glazing time will be sent as soon as projects are out of the kiln.
